I apologise if this version is rather buggy, I haven't had anywhere near as much time to playtest as I would have liked.

Diaper Quest was created with Inform. To play a work like this one, you need an interpreter program: many are available, Windows Git is strongly recommended for any machine that can run it, this includes Macs - you should use WINE.

Known Issues

  • Opening Git.exe and then selecting the file seems to cause a 'Can't open gamefile' error on some machines. However, double-clicking on the Gblorb file itself in Windows Explorer and then opening it with Git.exe that way seems to work fine. I believe this weird issue is just due to the huge filesize of the game file. If you download the recommended ZIP above, it comes with a batch file to make this even easier.
  • I'm getting reports of spontaneous crashes in Gargoyle. Use it at your own risk. If you do, it's strongly recommended to use roguelike saving.
  • There's still a few minor problems with item shortcuts and disambiguation.

Changelist:

  • Put a lot of work into removing unnecessary images from the game so that the filesize is a bit lower and more people should be able to open the game from the WinGit menu again.
  • Christmas stuff! Whenever you defeat an NPC or a friendly NPC gets bored of following you around, you get a christmas gift. They also appear in 1 in 5 containers. Opening one gets you a random thing from the subset of things listed here...
    • 11 bandages (consumable that heals 1 health)
    • 8 random clothing transformations
    • 7 forcefeedings
    • 6 electric fans
      • These have been upgraded to be useful even when there's no pink smoke in your room! When activated, all NPCs in your room will be blown in a particular direction.
      • If blessed (1 in 3), you'll be blown in the opposite direction if possible.
      • If cursed (1 in 4), you'll be blown in that direction too...
    • 5 gold rings!
    • 2 new cat themed undies
    • 1 blessed tincture of acceleration - the blessed version has its effects last longer.
  • The santa hat's quest is to pacify unfriendly enemies by gifting them an item they'll like.
    • Also, the santa hat doesn't fizzle upon you removing it and doesn't re-curse itself upon you wearing it again. So it's up to you if and
      when you re-wear it.
    • After the first time you complete the quest, future quest completion gives you christmas gifts.
  • Can't change self tattoo now allows the removal of diapers that are full to the brim.
  • A couple of new christmas outfits that are spawned by the Christmas headgears.
  • The game now keeps a list of the last 4 headgear that have been removed. These headgears will not be able to spawn. All other headgear that was destroyed at quest conclusion, i.e. by voluntary removal will be able to spawn again, if appropriate. In this way, you can become the same class more than once but you can't just abuse a single class over and over again in a row.
  • New handicap option lets you choose between just finding less items of clothing and more tokens / empty containers, or having a hungry bag of holding.
    • Choosing a hungry bag of holding nets you +3 perk points, because it now gets hungry from everything inside it, not just clothing and... there's now potential negative effects each time your bag eats something!
    • If the bag eats immature clothing, it will give you a temporary +1 orgasm addiction until it eats something new. But there are also other more rare effects too, depending on clothing status...
    • If the item is deemed to have an impact play theme and you are on full health, you take 1 damage and gain 1 delicateness.
    • If the item is deemed to be yellow and you need the toilet, your bladder is filled even further.
    • If it consumes a toy, the player will be briefly stimulated.
    • If it consumes a skirt while the player is wearing a skirted item that can be flipped up, it will be flipped up.
    • If it consumes a pink item while the bag is also pink, the bag will try and summon a pink item onto the player.
    • If it consumes a swimwear item, it'll coat everything the player is wearing in water.
    • Probably more to come soon.
  • Put a lot more work into themes, allowing for lots of cool things like...
    • Items will refuse to transform if it would be turning into something which does not share a theme with other worn things that this shares a theme with.
      • For example, if you are wearing both a leopard print bikini top and leopard print wedge heels, the bikini top will refuse to transform to something that isn't leopard print.
      • Some themes (mostly common colours) require you to have two or more other items worn for this effect to be active.
      • Some items ignore this rule, most notably bags of holding.
      • I anticipate that I will have missed some items that should clearly transform even when they share a theme, for example class outfits. If you encounter any of these, please point them out to me.
    • It's now straightforward for me to tell the code "transform this item into a more embarrassing item that shares a theme" or even "transform this item into a mor embarrassing item that shares a colour" which is really great for making sure that a lot of transformations still happen considering the new limitations.
  • If you have the inventory text window closed when you come across a crafting table, the game automatically reminds you how many you have of each token.
  • The doom quest now requires the room to be empty of hostiles, including those mindless cultists, in order for you to be able to perform the ritual. This makes it much more difficult because you'll have to fight a deep one at least once, possibly more, since he respawns each time you attack a mindless cultist.
    • However you do now get a diamond necklace as a reward when you succeed.
  • Some updates to serving patrons.
    • There are no longer specific hotel beds that summon patrons.
    • All rooms with beds in are now liable to suddenly spawn patrons for you to service. Yes, including during your rests.
      • If the most recent enemy you attacked is a patron or a pimp, then resting in any hotel bed will result in your rest being immediately interrupted by more patrons spawning. This is mainly to prevent easily farming patrons by continually resting up in a single location and letting them slowly spawn.
  • Reduced the amount of puddles that some NPCs produce when the player is not the maid.
  • Reduced the amount that your most embarrassing item / body part affects your appearance. But increased the amount that a second, third, etc. similarly outrageous item brings you up that appearance tracker.
  • Stockings and suspenders no longer curse each other, they just prevent removal of each other if either one is cursed.
  • Jewellery is no longer rated outrageous at all, except pink diamond jewellery which is a little bit.
  • Non-magical orgasm addiction increases (i.e. orgasms) now increase orgasm addiction slower, especially at the higher ranks of orgasm addiction, where they increase orgasm addiction much much slower.
    • Further to this, submitting during punishments no longer increases humiliation once the player has reached nymphomania levels of orgasm addiction or highly submissive levels of delicateness.
    • You no longer gain humiliation from orgasming shamefully.
    • The idea here is that what's actually going to make you feel like an exhibitionist is getting seen walking around with an exposed used nappy, not the act of allowing the diapering to happen in the first place.
  • Art for the beneficial lecture chair results.
  • The game now tells you if an item is weighing you down, when you examine it.
  • Non-patrons can now enable dark mode for the graphical windows. The text windows will still be white until I can get it working more consistently.
  • Fixed a bug where butt plugs were missing hyperlinks.
  • Fixed a bug where the mechanic was getting power towards turning into the demon lord every time he found you on your knees, which also meant he'd never give you the collar and the quest.
  • [Newest Nappy GUI] Fixed a bug where the main window was becoming even smaller when the inventory window was closed.
  • Fixed a bug where the map window still gave you hyperlinks to try and use (that didn't work) when you selected to enter your options via text.
  • Fixed a bug where the powder of escape would not remove the penetration flag from sex toys.
  • Fixed a shortcut clash between diamond bracelet and digestive biscuit.

Bab Testers:

  • Put a lot of work into a 'Dark Mode', and adding transparency to as many images as possible, and it's slowly getting there. At least in WinGit.
    • For some reason, using 'restart' will mess up the font colours in the main window. Use 'quit' then re-open the program instead.
  • New loading screen by Jammy.
    • If messing is disabled, the one you see is still a work in progress.
  • New art by Owlcan for the ruby lesson teacher Brooke.
  • Fixed a bug where after disabling animations, in following times the game was opened, the loading screen was bugged and could not be progressed beyond.
  • You can now use the "curse [noun]" and "bless [noun]" commands on alchemy products, including stuff like the electric fans.
